The Little Known Benefits of Gratitude
Benefit #1 – It helps with negative thoughts.
There are ANTS running through your mind!
Okay, not literally ANTS but A.N.Ts: Automatic Negative Thoughts
As with actual ants, we ALL experience automatic negative thoughts which are simply feedback to us that something we are doing or thinking is in authentic to our true selves. We just need to see the positives in order to address our lopsided perception of the negatives, to help us get back to our authentic and most productive, powerful self.
So how can we get rid of these ANTs? By practicing Gratitude.
Gratitude acts as a pest control for removing these automatic negative thoughts by becoming an antidote and re balancing low-energy, negative emotions such as stress, anger, jealously and hate.
And it is through using tools such as my Gratitude in 10 Journal that can bring about a conscious awareness of where the hidden blessings are in any perceived negative happening. A change in perception.
A change in perception that balances negativity and positivity.
A change in thinking that leads to a powerful change in you.
Benefit #2 – It brings about an inner peace.
We all deserve to live a happy, fulfilled life, except most of us chase pursuits that we believe will lead to happiness, but never do.
To be happy we must find inner peace and get grounded – and the practice of gratitude is a catalyst to allowing this to happen.
When we practice gratitude, and we see the silver lining in every cloud and how it serves us our hearts open and we release a concoction of neurochemicals in the brain including dopamine, serotonin and endorphins that make us feel good and ground us in inner peace and happiness.
And here’s the best part: you can truly bring about this powerful state of being immediately by practicing gratitude.
Happiness doesn’t come from more money, more weight loss or a bigger house or whatever it is you are chasing that you think will deliver it..
Happiness comes from within FIRST.
And that starts with gratitude practice.
Benefit #3 – It creates a mindset shift.
Above all, the greatest power that gratitude has to offer is the mindset shift it creates.
Taking you from a fixed way of negative thinking into a place where you can see the positives alongside the negatives and how they serve you in keeping you authentic.
Think about it for a second…
How do you think? How do you feel? How do you talk? How do you act?
How we do anything, is how we do everything. And how we do everything is a result of our mindset first.
Once you learn to manage your mindset, everything can change.
After all, that word “change” is what you want, isn’t it?
A change in how you feel? A change in how you think, maybe look?
All change starts with your mindset. And to start changing your mindset, gratitude is the way in.
Soothe the soul, master your mind.
